My top 10 experiences in Japan, plus stuff for next time

Top experiences:

  1. Buying a samurai sword in Kyoto IMG_1471
  2. Genghis Khan rare lamb in Sapporo Genghis Khan rare lamb at sapporo beer-en restaurant
  3. Shopping in the Harajuku district in Tokyo harajuku street shopping
  4. Sushi breakfast at Tsujiki fish market in Tokyo more sushi
  5. Watching the Fall leaves in Nikko path leading to the shrines in nikko
  6. Ramen in Ramen Alley in Sapporo the best ramen i've ever had
  7. Gyukan, barbecued beef tongue, in Sendai
  8. The light display at shrines in Kyoto IMG_1323
  9. Hearing the squeaks of the Nijojo Castle in Kyoto IMG_1388
  10. Watching women dressed at Geishas walking in Kyoto IMG_1122

 

Stuff for next time:

  1. Stay for a night in shukubo, Buddhist temple lodgings, in Koya-San, a monastic complex close to Kyoto and Osaka
  2. Relax for a few days at an onsen hot spring town
  3. Watch a Kabuki performance 
  4. Watch Sumo
